The Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC) at Montana State University will offer a different four-hour training topic for manufacturers on the second Tuesday each month, August through December, at its Bozeman location, 2310 University Way, building 2.

The series, “Tuesdays With Todd,” starts Aug. 11. Todd Daniels, the local MMEC manufacturing specialist, will lead the sessions. Each workshop is $75 per person and starts at 1 p.m. to allow drive time for those outside the Bozeman area.

Topics include lean manufacturing for the office, root cause and problem solving, coming changes to the ISO 9001 quality standard, planning for growth and risk management. Topics can be selected prior to each course or in sets of three that meet workforce training needs for more savings.

MMEC is an outreach center in the MSU College of Engineering and part of a nationwide network, the NIST Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), developed to assist small and mid-size manufacturers in becoming more competitive and profitable.
