  • The Big Sky Trust Fund Program (BSTF) aids in the development of good-paying jobs for Montana residents and promotes long-term stable economic growth. BSTF provides grants in two categories: Economic Development Job Creation and Planning Projects. The Economic Development Job Creation supports basic sector businesses with a grant up to $5,000 per net new eligible job created. The Planning Project is a matching grant up to $25,000 for planning activities that support business development and economic development planning.
  • The Growth Through Agriculture Program works to strengthen and diversify Montana’s agricultural industry through development of new agricultural products and processes. Project funding up to $150,000, in the form of grant funding up to $50,000 and loan funding up to $100,000, are eligible.
  • The Incumbent Worker Training Program provides grant funding to help eligible Montana small businesses train existing workers. The grant allows up to $2,000 per year per full-time employee, and up to $1,000 per year per permanent part-time employee.
  • Primary Sector Workforce Training Grants provides funds to businesses for training of new full-time and part-time employees. The program supports basic sector businesses with a grant up to $5,000 for each new full-time job and $2,500 for each new part-time job.
